THE RUSTY BICYCLE STREET PARTY 2016

The Rusty wouldn’t be the pub it is today without the continued support and involvement of our beloved East Oxford community. So a couple of Saturdays ago, to celebrate that very community, we shut down a section of Hurst Street and threw a big old bash for the whole neighbourhood.

As you can see the weather was perfect, the turnout was better than we could have possibly imagined, and we were pretty chuffed to see so many people coming together outside our little pub to eat, drink and party as a community. Lots (and lots, and lots…) of beer was poured throughout the day, great conversations were had, and some seriously talented Oxford bands graced our ears with sweet tunes from up high on our beer truck stage. By the end of the night we’d nearly been drunk dry of Sunday and Monday’s beer, but that didn’t matter as we were buzzing from the excitement of it all (and from sampling all the guest beers and ciders on offer outside…).

For those of you who missed out we’re already plotting how to make it even bigger and better next year, so stay tuned!
