Welcome to an unconventional book/comedy night where there is absolutely NO required reading – unless you want to!

Most people are too busy for a traditional book club but everyone has a favourite book… Each month we’ll be sharing a variety of hilarious sets about all kinds of books (from classic works to obscure comics and from non-fiction to chic-lit).

Last month we covered all sorts of unexpected topics: Nick Buss took us through the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, Michael Julien-Black spoke about ADHD and the effect of a diagnosis, Shirley Halse explored her character in Coram Boy, Max Grunewald explored the many reasons why H. P. Lovecraft is, at best, problematic, Lisa Whittard talked about the tyranny of rules in Oi Cat, and Nick Page took us on safari through books from Africa.

Performing singles from their brand new record, your two fav Chelt musicians/kings are back with their massive Friday night party. This time they will be bringing you a celebratory night full of hip hop and good vibes.

Tickets are not needed and entry is of course as ever, absolutely bloody FREE!

See you all on the 30th from 9pm… NOT TO BE MISSED.

This will be a celebration of local hip hop so please make it down to support and hear some top music.

It’s almost time for the third instalment of our beloved #ClothesSwapParty!

Bring in your old clobber and swap it for someone else old clobber… You’ll be surprised by the quality of stuff you’ll be able to swap.

Here are the rules(?):

Bring in your unwanted old clothes and accessories (MAX 10).

Hang them on the rail.

Browse other items and take what you like.

It’s all simple really.

We hope to see as many of you there as possible! Event on Facebook to go live soon with more info!

With plenty of hints and clues if you need them, this is the light hearted Sunday activity you might have been looking for.

science fest: Dr who party

Step into the time vortex and pay homage to your favourite doctors with a time travelling Dr Who rave. With out of these world visuals and DJ Echo Juliet throwing down samples of daleks, ravers can don doctor or villain masks, take photos with life-size cut-outs and dance the night away to time-travelling house and disco as well as feelgood funk, afro and latin grooves.

Kick off at 8 in our canteen (The Tardis) all the way through ’til 1am!

Dr Who themed dress-up encouraged with free booze for the most creative costumes.

Tickets to get inside this Tardis are a fiver and they’re here 🚀
