We’re an independent pub company built around neighbourhood pubs with personality.
Every Dodo pub has its own story, team and place in the local community, but they all share the same foundations: great food and drink, genuine hospitality, good vibes and doing things properly.
From Oxford to Cheltenham, Bristol, Reading, Witney and Newbury, our goal is simple: to create pubs people are proud to call their local.

From our menus and suppliers to the beers on the bar, the wines on the list and the details that make a good pub meal feel like a great one, we care about doing things properly.

Dodo Works is our flexible workspace located above The Bottle of Sauce in Cheltenham, offering desk memberships, office spaces and meeting rooms for individuals and teams.
Choose from individual desks, semi-private spaces and fully private offices, with flexible short and long-term options to suit the way you work.
And being above a pub has its perks; great coffee, proper food and after-work drinks downstairs when the laptop closes.
Whether you’re looking for a regular desk, a room of your own or a base for the whole team, we’ll help you find a setup that works for you.

OUR STORY
FOUR FRIENDS. ONE PUB. NO PLAN TO BUILD A PUB COMPANY.
Dodo started in 2009, when four friends; Chris, Leo, Fred and Andrew opened The Rusty Bicycle in East Oxford. Since then, we’ve grown into a collection of neighbourhood pubs across different towns and cities, each with its own identity, personality and local following.
We’re still guided by the same idea: great hospitality, great people and great pubs.
And we’re not done yet. We’ve got ambitions to keep growing, opening more great pubs and creating places that communities are proud to call their local.
